Our mission at Yoga Within Reach is to guide and assist our clients down a path in pursuit of reaching their full potential, both inside and out.

In today’s society, many people first come to the practice of yoga purely for physiological reasons – improved balance, strength and flexibility; relief from physical ailments of the body; and improved breathing. By opening and aligning the physical body through the practice of yoga, it is possible to facilitate healing and prevention of injury and thereby therapeutically alleviate physical pain and suffering. Let’s face it; we all want to look and feel good.

 

However, while the practice of yoga provides an abundance of physical benefits, it also yields many psychological advantages – improved concentration, attention and memory; reduced stress, anxiety and depression; as well as a general improvement in ones overall mood. A sharp mind, healthy attitude and happy demeanor can foster better personal and professional relationships, as well as improve ones productivity in all aspects of life.

 

Most notably, the practice of yoga also encourages greater self-knowledge by enabling you to cultivate a deeper connection with the essence of your true nature. By bringing a sense of mindfulness and focused awareness to your yoga practice, toward not only the physical body, but also your thoughts, feelings and emotions, you can begin to remember and reconnect to who you are; what type of person you want to be in this lifetime; and how you want to live your life. With a consistent practice of yoga, you can come closer to discovering your true self and move forward down your own individual path making choices that are more life-affirming in pursuit of true happiness, good health, peace, love, joy, and bliss.
